Dr. Laura Baylor, DNP, RN, FNP-BC

Dr. Laura M. Baylor is an Assistant Professor and Family Nurse Practitioner Program director. She has been a board-certified family nurse practitioner since 2001 and a registered nurse since 1989. Dr. Baylor’s clinical practice has been primarily in family medicine, with roles in college health, urology, house calls for the homebound, and emergency medicine.

Dr. Baylor obtained her Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center School of Nursing and Union County College in 1988. She worked in pediatric head trauma, intermediate coronary care, and acute coronary care before finding her true passion in emergency medicine.

In 1999, Dr. Baylor received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales and immediately continued completing her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2001 from DeSales University. In 2013, Dr. Baylor was honored to be part of the inaugural class, completing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Clinical Leadership at DeSales University.

In addition to her work at NAFNP, Dr. Baylor is a Sigma Theta Tau International Mu Omicron Chapter member, a member of NONPF since 2016, and serves on the Pennsylvania Coalition Of Nurse Practitioners board.
