Dr. Krista Estes, DNP, FNP-BC

Dr. Krista Estes, DNP, FNP-BC, is an accomplished healthcare professional and educator, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of Master’s Programs at the University of Colorado (CU) College of Nursing. Additionally, she is an Assistant Director on the CU Interprofessional Practice and Education Council, playing a crucial part in the campus-wide interprofessional training curriculum. 

With over 15 years of nursing experience, Dr. Estes is steadfast in her dedication to collaborative, patient-focused care and currently practices in urgent and emergent care. Previously, she served as the Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty Director and a Division Chair for Adult and Senior Health. In scholarly pursuits, she focuses on various areas including simulation, interprofessional education, and telehealth.

Dr. Estes is a trailblazer in the field of nursing, bridging the gap between academia and practice, and inspiring future healthcare professionals to embrace collaboration and provide exceptional patient-centered care.
