Delilah Flexas, DNP, RN, FNPCo-chair, Mentorship Committee; Advisory council Member & Founding MemberDr. Delilah Flexas, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), has harbored a passion for healthcare since her high school years. Her dual interests emerged—one in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the other in becoming an FNP focused on primary care. In 2010, Dr. Flexas earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois. Her academic journey continued in 2024 with the completion of her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Rush University. With an immersive 13-year experience in the NICU (including 4 years in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), she brings a wealth of experience and adaptability to demanding clinical settings. Dr. Flexas’s professional journey extends beyond hospital walls. She spent several years as a travel NICU nurse, working in high-volume, nationally recognized hospitals. Her passion for exploration led her to travel extensively, visiting forty-six countries across four continents-Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. As a Latina healthcare professional, Dr. Flexas is committed to bridging cultural gaps. She strives to be a relatable and empathetic provider, understanding the unique needs faced by minority populations. Dr. Flexas currently applies her expertise and compassion as an FNP in a primary care setting, dedicated to positively impacting patient health and well-being. |
